Synchronized Deposition Video

DCM will synchronize your deposition video, linking the transcript to the video for simultaneous playback on your computer or in court. With a synchronized deposition video, you can make excerpts as easily as highlighting text, and present your excerpts with transcript subtitles. Synchronized depos are great for testimony impeachment. It is a quantum leap over traditional video editing: you can create a video clip on the fly in less than a minute. No more rush overnight video editing that might not get done on time! The technology also allows you to print out a copy of the excerpt transcripts for review by staff, judges or opposing attorneys, saving you more time at trial. Don’t be without this basic and powerful litigation tool.

Deposition Synch Playback Demonstration

This video shows some of the ways that synchronized deposition video can be played back in trial presentation. DCM creates synch files for TrialDirector, LiveNote, Sanction, Summation and other litigation software. (Converted from computer monitor; not full resolution.)

Don’t own trial presentation software? Ask about the DepoView player, a depo video editor and review application. DepoView lets you review the transcript and the video, create clips and export those clips to other software, such as PowerPoint, TrialDirector or Windows Media Player. It also can print your transcript and take a snapshot from the video image. This versatile application is free with synchronizing, upon request. DepoView is the perfect way to have the advantages of synchronizing without having to buy or learn the whole trial presentation software package.

DepoView Demonstration

This video shows how the DepoView application looks during playback, transcript search, creating a clip and exporting a clip to the desktop. Also shown is how the Windows Media Viewer is set to play back the video with the synched transcript subtitles. (Converted from computer monitor; not full resolution.)

Synchronizing is also for audio files, like voice messages or meeting minutes. Sometimes non-professional audio recordings are barely intelligible, and the effect is even more garbled when playing to a courtroom. A written transcript synchronized to the recording greatly improves listener comprehension and retention.

To order, please provide us with a final transcript and the video or audio tape, disc or file. We can do the encoding from undigitized video or audiotape, if needed. Rush jobs and large orders are welcome! Please call for details.
